In the quiet heart of Villa Fiorita’s gardens lies the monument “La Guardiola”, a Roman tomb
dating back to the 1st–2nd century AD that preserves the memory of a time when the city
was home to noble residences and ancient splendor.
Thanks to the Superintendence for Cultural Heritage and the collaboration with the hotel’s
ownership, in 2023 a careful restoration project was launched to ensure its preservation and
enhancement.
Today, among the fragrance of flowers and the shimmering light of Taormina’s sea, La
Guardiola continues to tell its millennia-old story in serene silence
